追加の医師費用請求書がUSACSからemail で来た　(MyChartには表示されていない)

Chicago Airport のThe Club Lounge でwifi 接続したところ、email での追加Bill ($2128)が来ていた。全て支払い済みと思っていたので驚いた。

どうせ支払いが必要な請求書だろうからと思い、とにかくクレジットカードで支払い操作を完了しておいた。

MyChart には何かpending 事項があるという表示が出ていたのを思い出したので、おそらくこのことだろうと思う。

クレジットカード保険デスクからは　「病院の会計システムでは処理されていない請求が後日(色々)出てくる」と書いてあったとおり、MyChart外でのemail方式でのBill請求が来たのだ。

一応　MyChartのbill関連項目の質問照会欄には以下の問い合わせを出しておいた。

なお、末尾には　次から次へと請求書が送られてくるので怖い　と付記した。

What kind of bill is this?

I already paid $3868 for the physician fee which was shown on MyChart with 50% discounts as provider adjust.

Is the bill from US Acute Care Solutions additional charge of specialist doctors outside of MyChart accounting system? (Is it why there is no discount as provider adjust?).

As I am not familiar with the medical billing system in USA, I appreciate if you could provide me with detailed information. (I am scared to receive bills after bills…)

念のため　USACSのWEBで　Get Help の項目をクリックしていたら　よくある質問項目に　Who is USACS? Why am I receiving this bill? が出ていた。

これを読むと、多分、個人事業主(病院勤務医ではない)としての医師集団の請求事務処理を担当している会社(機関)がUSACSだろう。

従って、No Surprises Bill act の適用はなく、provider adjustは期待できないと思っている。

USACS employs clinicians who care for patients at hospitals, emergency rooms, urgent care centers, skilled nursing facilities and/or observation units. You are receiving this bill because either you or a dependent of yours was seen by one of our clinicians. The charges on this bill are for the physician(s) in our group who treated you or a dependent. Our clinicians are not paid by the hospital/facility. The physicians and hospital/facility bill their charges separately. One visit may result in more than one bill because the hospital also charges facility and testing fees.

なんとか米国出国前までに全ての請求書を支払い済みにしてさっぱりした気分でマレーシアに移動したい　と思っているのだが、この＄2128以外に追加請求書が送られて来ると　サッパリ気分が損なわれる。
